I went to Michael's on Monday with mom and I picked up some alphabet beads. I wanted to spell out Marie's name on this final block. Out of 2 packages of alphabet beads, there were only 2 "T's"! Can you believe it? I have something like 8 "X's" and only 2 "T's"! I need 3. So spelling out her name will have to wait until tomorrow when I go to WalMart. In the meantime, this is the block at this point:
I will put this block on hold until tomorrow. In the meantime, I'll have to find some other things to do.

I had to laugh on the alphabet beads! I have some here. I don't think I can spell out anything with what is left!
Love the quilt block!

That should be the other way around! You should have more Ts. Do they just throw them in the package randomly or is that designed to sell more packages? Your block is beautiful! I love all the sparkle and the lace pieces you add. Take care, Connie
Only 2 Ts that would be very frustrating! the block looks good so far.
Gorgeous.
Wonder how they managed to put all those x's in there? go figure.

I don't understand why the creators of alphabet beads don't stop to realize which of the letters are used the most and be sure to put lots in the package. It's frustrating to only be able to make a few words and then have tons of beads left over - none of which you are likely to use.
