Lady In Blue Crazy Quilt Purse

It was a busy weekend.  Snow on Saturday so I had to have Scott take me in the truck to run my errands.  In case I haven't mentioned it, I've had enough Winter now.  They're calling for another 6 inches tomorrow and then more again on Saturday.  Geez, what is this?  Alaska?!!!!  We never get this much snow in McHenry!

Anyway, yesterday was my dad's birthday and of course the Super Bowl.  And the only thing about the Super Bowl that I celebrate is the end of Football season!  We did watch the Puppy Bowl on Animal Planet over at mom's and I just love that!  All those sweet little puppies and then the kitty half time show.  Just precious!

Scott and I gave my dad a handmade Screech Owl Box.  My dad loves the birds and I thought it would be too cool if he could attract those beautiful little Screech Owls.  I am very much into buying handmade and very much into buying things that are made in the USA so when I decided on a Screech Owl box, the first place I went to was Etsy.  I did my search and found the perfect Screech Owl box at Bishgrg on Etsy.  My dad loved it and being a woodworker himself, he said the craftsmenship is excellent!

I did manage to finish up my Lady In Blue Crazy Quilt Purse:

In need to get up to JoAnn's or Hobby Lobby and pick up some purse handles.  I've used the extras that I had here.  So I'll get this sewn up as soon as I can get to a craft store.

This Gypsy Purse will be my next Crazy Quilt project:

I'll start stitching on this one either later today or tomorrow.  I have a few more brooches I want to stitch on too.

I added a couple of new things to my Etsy shop.  First, a pretty little hanging heart ornament handmade by Mom:

And a Cotton Batting St Patricks Day Ornament by me:

I guess that's my rambling for today!  More tomorrow....

Handmade Christmas Tree Ornaments Inspired By Nature

These beautiful Christmas Tree Ornaments are mom's latest additions to our Boutiques.  All are inspired by nature:

A pretty white bird on a glittered pinecone!  These sold out in just a few days last year so mom has redesigned them for 2011.

These Partridge In A Pear Tree ornaments also sold out in a heartbeat last year.  Again, mom has redesigned them for the 2011 season.

This is a large ornament measuring about 7 inches wide.  Perfect for a very full Christmas Tree!  We only had one red bird so mom only made one of these Red Cardinal Bird Ornaments.

In other news, I hope to have my Crazy Quilt Cat Dolls all finished up the end of the weekend.  I'll post photos as soon as they're ready!

Crazy Quilt Kitty I Phone Pouch

I had a custom order for an I Phone Pouch with a kitty:
I was going to use a little kitty charm on this but then I remembered that I had that sweet little vintage rhinestone cat pin.  It was perfect for this pouch!  I've already shipped it out to my customer.  If you'd like to see more of my Cellphone pouches, there are some on my website.  This one is a neck pouch but I also make them without the chain.

More Handmade Note Cards with Glitter

I thought I'd share some more of  the handmade Blank Note Cards that mom and I made for our Boutique:

You won't find these at the WalMart!  They're one of a kind and made with vintage greeting cards and other papers!  And course, a lot of glitter!  Are you surprised?  LOL!!!  Yes, we do like our glitter!

I still have more to list in our Boutique but I can only do so much in one day.  I used to think I was Super Women but apparently, that kick in the butt I had a few years back proved me wrong!  LOL!

Anyway, I wasn't going to watch the Royal Wedding today but it looks like it's the only thing on television!  I haven't even seen the weather yet!  I confess, I do enjoy the Pomp & Circumstance of these events.  And I sure would love to have her dress to cut up for my crazy quilts!  I wonder if it's dyeable?

Handmade Greeting Cards with Glitter

I've been rather busy the last few days!  I'm getting ready to teach my Crazy Quilt class which is next Friday.  I have my workbooks together and just have to write a list of notes for myself and I should be good to go!  I'll be teaching my Elegant Crazy Quilt Seam Treatments technique to a group of 8 ladies up in Delafield, Wisconsin.
In other news, mom and I did a bit of shopping on Etsy the other day.  I realized that I was really missing Etsy so after talking about it with mom, we agreed that we would move our holiday items to our newly renamed, Holiday Boutique!  Everything else will remain in our Cottage Boutique.  I spent a good few hours yesterday working on that and it'll take me some time to get all of our holiday things over to Etsy but I think it'll be nice.  So Kitty & Me Designs is now at 2 locations!  Fun!!!

When I finished up the basics over at our Etsy shop, I added some new Handmade Glittered Greeting Cards to our Cottage Boutique:

I have a lot more cards to add to the shop.  Mom and I have been making these cards for a few weeks now.  These are blank note cards ready for personalizing.  We felt that since we have a gift shop, we should offer some pretty cards.  These are made with vintage greeting cards and lots of glitter!  I'll be adding a few more to the shop later today and I'll be moving a few more of our holiday items over to Etsy.

Crazy Quilt Teddy Bear Dolls in Cottage Boutique

I was finally able to get these Crazy Quilt Teddy Bears added to our Cottage Boutique:

I haven't run my sewing machine in awhile so I think for today, I'll get my fancy fabrics out and sew up some more teddy bears, some cat dolls and some IPhone pouches.  I have another idea for a cool Crazy Quilt project too so I'll try to do that as well!

There are so many wonderful things to do and never enough hours in the day!!!

It's time for another drawing here at Kitty & Me Designs!  I thought it would be fun to have a drawing for one of my Crazy Quilt Cat Dolls:

Here's the catch, sorry but there's always a catch!  LOL!!!!

You can get 2 entries in this drawing.

****To be entered a 2nd time, write a blog post about our Handmade Cottage Boutique.  Include the link to our website:  http://www.kittyandmedesigns.com/   Make sure the you put the link on the words "Pam Kelloggs Handmade Cottage Boutique".  Not on Kitty & Me Designs.  Sorry, it's a Google thing.

Then, leave a comment on this post with a link to your blog!

The drawing will take place on Saturday, February 26th.  All entries will be put in a basket and my husband will draw the winner that morning.  I will announce it here on my blog by 12 noon Central Time.

Am I blatantly asking you to promote my Boutique?  Yes!  But you must admit, this a rather creative way of doing it!!  And because you're posting a link to your blog here, we might all end up meeting some great new people and getting some more followers.  And of course, some lucky person will win my Cat Doll!!!!

Good Luck everyone!

Now Accepting Phone Orders & Email Orders

I had no clue that some people don't care for ordering online.  After having several conversations earlier this week, it's come to my attention that many people either don't want to mess with signing up at Etsy, or just find it easier to pick up the phone and place an order.  It's funny how things come about sometimes.

Mom and I discussed this and we agreed that taking phone orders would be helpful so, here we go!  We are now accepting phone orders as well as email orders.

Everything in my Etsy shop is available to order by phone or email.

To order by phone, click here.  If you call and I'm not here, please leave a message with your name and phone # and I will return your call ASAP.

To order by email, click here.  Just send me a list of what you would like to order and again, I will reply ASAP.

I will have to send a PayPal invoice via email either way.  It's the only way I can accept Visa/Mastercard payments at this time but who knows what the future may bring!  One step at a time.

With all that said, I will make our entire catalog available right here on my blog (at the tab on the top marked Phone Orders) but that's going to be time consuming so I'll have to add it a little at a time.  For now, everything we offer is available to see on my Etsy site

I'm getting ready to list some new items so for now, I'll leave you with the weekends additions:
