2010 Just Cross Stitch Ornament Issue Drawing
I have an extra copy of the 2010 Just Cross Stitch Ornament issue here. This is the last issue that any of my cross stitch ornament designs will appear in. As many of my long time readers know, I have retired from designing counted cross stitch. I want to pursue other avenues with my creativity.
I thought it would be fun to have a little drawing for this magazine. The rules are easy, just leave a comment on this post and I will add your name to a basket. On Saturday morning, November 20th, Scott will draw a name and I will post the winner here later that afternoon.
I'll autograph this issue for the winner!!! Good luck everyone!

Drawing!
One of my crazy quilt pieces was recently featured in a new needlework publication called, "Spool":
The premier issue showcases a variety of needlework techniques and articles including a wonderful discussion by my sweet friend Louise Giordono of Scarf It Up on doing in home shows.
This is the projects that I did for the Premier Issue of Spool:
I thought it would be fun to have another drawing! The winner will receive both a copy of the Premier Issue of Spool and the Crazy Quilt Ornament that I did for my article!!!
The rules are easy. Just leave a comment on this post and I will put your name in a basket. The drawing will take place one week from today on October 19th. My husband will draw a name on that date in the evening when he gets home from work!
So leave a comment and good luck!

Drawings
Gerry at Older Rose is having the loveliest give away! There are 2 prizes. This gorgeous pincushion:
And these incredible beautiful hand-painted buttons:
Please hop over to Gerry's blog and enter her drawing.
Oh, those buttons with the bluebirds just scream at me!
And don't forget about my drawing for this sweet little Sewing Art Quilt:
When I reach 300 followers, my husband will draw a name from the basket and the winner will receive this quilt! I'm almost so there!!! Details can be found here.
I wanted to give you an update on my current work in progress. I got home from WalMart today and decided that housework and laundry could wait. I needed to stitch so stitch I did!
I did a lot of silk ribbon roses on this piece. It's not quite done yet. I still have some do-dads to add so be sure to stop back and see it completed. I'll be framing this one.
Lastly for today, I added 2 more of mom's Victorian Halloween Tussy Mussy's to the shop:
These are just so pretty!! Very glittery and festive! They can be found here.
I guess that's the new for today. Be sure to stop by on Saturday for my Pink Saturday post!

Happy Pink Saturday!
Another lovely PINK SATURDAY! I so look forward to this event every week. It's so much fun to see what Pink Bloggers are sharing!
Today, I have a prize flea market find. I purchases this pair of kittens with roses back in October for only $12.00:
I was absolutely in love with them the minute I saw them!
I have no idea how old they are or where they came from. I just loved them so I bought them!
And speaking of kitties, here is a rare photo of my Simba & Nightmare laying on the same chair:
Nightmare is quite dominant and that is Simba's chair so I was a little surprised to see them together like this!
Finally for today, the drawing for my little Sewing Art Quilt continues:
When I reach 300 Followers, my husband will draw a name from the basket. I can't to see who the winner is! To learn more about how to enter, click here.
I'd like to take a moment to thank Beverly, our Pink Saturday hostess for including me in in another lovely Pink Saturday. Please take a moment to visit Beverly's blog and while you're there, visit a few of the other Pink Saturday bloggers!

Happy Pink Saturday!!!
Hello everyone! And Happy Pink Saturday!!! What a fun blog-land activity!
I finished putting together my Marie Antoinette Crazy Quilt purse and I've been saving it for my Pink Saturday post. So without delay, here it is:

The back is rose colored velvet and the inside is lined with a pink rose print. I had pink handles but they were a little too bright so I went with the clear handles.
I also thought you would enjoy seeing a Mini Art Quilt that my mom made for me:

This has always been my favorite photo of my mom. She was about 1 year old here. It was taken by a professional photographer in 1941. The song "Pennies From Heaven" was popular at that time so that's what my grandparents called this photo.
So that's my post for this Pink Saturday. Thank you so much for stopping by! Please hop over and visit our gracious Pink Saturday host, Beverly. You can find her here at How Sweet The Sound. Be sure to visit some of the other sweet pink bloggers!!
Also, be sure to enter my drawing to win this sweet little Sewing Art Quilt:
There are 3 chances to win and you can find the details here in this post!

Pam's Blueberry Muffins Recipe
Good Morning everyone! First, I would like to thank Cathy Scalise for being my Guest Blogger yesterday. I love introducing my followers to my favorite artists and bloggers!!! There's so many talented ladies out there! My next Guest Blogger will be posting on August 1st!
I stopped at the Farm Market the other day and picked up some Blueberries. You would love this Farm Market! It's in the middle of nothing but cornfields! And thankfully, just down the road from me! Anyway, my Bubba loves my Blueberry Muffins so I made him some last night:
These made my house smell good all night long! I thought you might enjoy having my recipe which is a combo of several Blueberry Muffin recipes!
Pam's Blueberry Muffins
1 3/4 cups All-Purpose Flour
1/4 cup + 2 tablespoons Sugar
2 1/2 teaspoons Baking Powder
3/4 teaspoons Salt
1 Beaten Egg
3/4 cup Milk
1/3 cup Vegetable Oil
Grated zest of 1 Lemon
1 teaspoon Vanilla
I double this recipe and add 1 pint of fresh Blueberries.
Preheat oven to 375. Combine dry ingredients in a large mixing bowl. In a separate bowl, combine wet ingredients. In a 3rd bowl, combine 2 Tablespoons of flour with the blueberries. You'll want to make sure the berries are coated with flour. This prevents them from sinking to the bottom of the muffins.
Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients. Mix well but don't over mix. Fold in the blueberries. Don't mix them, just gently fold them in so they don't break.
Spoon into muffin tins or cupcake tins lined with cupcake papers. Fill about 3/4 full and bake for 20-25 minutes. A double recipe makes 12 large muffins.
Enjoy!
You may have noticed that gorgeous embroidered tablecloth in the muffin photo. My sweet friend Cathy K. sent that to me!
I fell in love with it when I saw it on her blog. I commented on it and a few days later, it arrived in the mail. I have the sweetest blog friends!!! Thank you so much Cathy!
I did iron it! Honestly, I did! Apparently, I'm ironing challenged as anything bigger than a 3 X 4 inch piece of fabric never looks like I ironed it! Oh well, I love this tabletopper!
Before I head off to stitch, be sure to enter for a chance (3 chances actually) to win my little Sewing Art Quilt:
Details can be found in this post!
I'm off to stitch for a while now! Have a great day and be sure to stop by tomorrow for my Pink Saturday post!

Marie Antoinette Purse Block Completed!
I finished stitching this yesterday and so much wanted to sew it together today but after washing my floors, doing laundry, washing a few windows and putting a few packages together for shipping, I was out of steam:

My plan now is to put it together on Thursday when I get back from picking up groceries.
I did run my sewing machine yesterday. I pieced some Autumn themed cat dolls and another purse block. I stitched a little bit this afternoon but not enough for sharing.
In other news, we had some of the pin-striping done on the Model A this weekend:

What you see in these photos is the gas tank. Bubba had to have the pin-striping done on that before he could put it in the car permanently. It's getting there! It looks more and more like a real car everyday!
Be sure to stop by on Thursday for my next Guest Blogger post! There will be lots of beautiful photos of my guest's creations!!!
Finally for today, enter to win my Sewing Art Quilt. The drawing will take place when my blog reaches 300 followers:

Details can be found in this post.
Finally for today, my Peacock Purse was included in this lovely Etsy Treasury. Please hop over see it. It's a lovely a Treasury!!

Christmas Drawing!
As ya'll know, I've been baking up a storm lately! How did I make cookies before I bought my Kitchenaid? I've already made a pan of Chocolate Chip Shortbread and another batch of Raisin Applesauce. I'll spare you anymore of my applesauce photos. :) My mom loved that last batch I made over the weekend so I promised her some more.
Well, I mentioned earlier this week that I was going to host a Christmas Drawing! I will be filling this plain & simple Mason Jar with pretty little Christmas Tea Cookies and decorating it to suit the upcoming holiday:

To enter the drawing, simply leave a comment on this post. Please include your first name and first initial of your last name in your message. The names will put into a basket and my husband Scott will draw one name on Wednesday, December 9th. The winner will be announced that evening. Due to the cost of postage, this drawing is open only to USA residents. I will post a photo of the filled, decorated jar and will ship to the lucky winner on December 12th. I will ship Priority Mail via the USPS.
So that's the news on the Christmas drawing!
In other news, my little Garden Quilt continues to blossom:

I didn't make the little tatted flowers. I found a bagful of them at a flea market awhile back. They were cream color so dyed them and sewed them on.
Well, it's time to drizzle chocolate on my shortbread cookies. Don't forget to leave a comment so I can add your name to the basket!
