I decided that now is the perfect time to start on my Winter project. I pulled out block #1 of my Marie Antoinette quilt and I will start stitching on this today:
If you're new to my blog, I have Seasonal Affective Disorder and have found that a Winter project, helps me to get through the nasty Winter months until Spring. This quilt has 9 blocks, all featuring an image of Marie Antoinette. I love the pinks and other soft pastel colors. There will be loads of lace and glittery things on this quilt. Tons of flowers and vines. I have some special do-dads that my friend Cathy K. sent to me that I've been saving for this project. One is a little Eiffel Tower charm!
I'm going to try to get this piece in the frame today and then I'll add it to the shop.
Another finish is this little cat doll:
This was a custom order. I really love making these little cats. I think I'll sew up a few more this week and just have them ready for when I feel like stitching on one.

I think the Marie quilt will be fabulous. Those colors make you smile to look at them. The block you just finished stitching is something else. I love the pearl spider and all the other little critters on it as well. Mom's tussie mussies are great as always.
Bottle brush trees take me back to the 60's.

Hi Pam. Sorry to hear you are not well again. I do hope your quilts can get you through this dark period. Lets think about the light at the end of the tunnel, and the blossoming of spring.
I love looking at your pieces. I wish I lived close by so I could see them properly. My little cat doll I purchased from you this year is so very pretty. I would love to be able to purchase a few more for my mum, but that will have to wait.
I can't believe it's almost Christmas again! Gee the year has flown. I am making Christmas cards this year, so I have started that last weekend. Better get cracking I think!

So sorry to hear you’re having problems with the depression. We’ve had a lot of sunshine this fall, so I’m doing OK so far. It really helps that Bruce and I go walking for an hour three times a week. It won’t be long before I have to switch my exercise routine to the indoors. Ugh. Take care of yourself - I don’t know how you accomplish as much as you do! Love & hugs, Cathy
Your muffins look so yummy! Love the new things in the shop. Marie A. looks like the perfect project for this year. I know each block will look beautiful jeweled and dressed when you are finished.

Great project for the winter Pam - I know you love Marie A. so you will enjoy working on it, which will help with the SAD. Really hope those meds soon decide to straighten up!
