New Boutique Arrivals

I worked like a crazy person (emphasis the word "crazy") yesterday getting our newest boutique items listed.  It's very time consuming to take photos, edit photos, write descriptions and list things in 2 shops!  But I met my goal and am finally caught up!  At least for now!  Here's what's new:

Christmas Bottlebrush Trees:

I don't know why I enjoy decorating these so much.  I think it's because I can use a lot of glitter on them.  And ya'll know how much I love my glitter!  These are so pretty with little Christmas Villages!

Next, my Victorian Peacock Ornament:

I had 2 of these but 1 is already gone so I only have 1 left in stock.

Then I added mom's latest Victorian Tussy Mussy's:

Are these precious or what?  They're mini Tussy Mussy Ornaments for Christmas and Mini Tussy Mussy Ornaments for Thanksgiving!  They're just too cute!  I can see them on a vintage Feather Tree!

I also added a ton of our new Glittered Blank Notecards but I'll save those photos for tomorrow.

I guess that's it for today.  Enjoy the photos!  For anyone who prefers shopping at Etsy, our Boutique Items are also available there.

Fabric and Lace Cuff Bracelets

Did you ever notice how "all over the map" I can be?  I jump from one subject to another and then to another and you probably never know what I'm going to do next!  LOL!!!  Neither do I!  What can I say?  ADD!

I just added some new Fabric and Lace Cuff bracelets to our Boutiques:

These are made with my collection of vintage millinery flowers and they're reminiscent of old fashioned wrist corsages!  I use elastic in my cuff bracelets so they'll fit up to a 7 1/2 inch wrist.  Also available in our Etsy Boutique!

Our Pumpkin Patch

Scott and I thought it would be fun to plant pumpkins this year.  We bought seeds for traditional pumpkins and then seeds for the little mini pumpkins.  We were very excited in the early Summer when they started growing but little did we know that they would take over our yard!

We've literally had to pull the vines out of our neighbor's yard!  That tree stump you see is what's left of the tree that fell on my house 3 years ago.  We're still working on getting that stump out of there.

Here's one of the large pumpkins:
And a freak of nature!  2 mini pumpkins growing together:

It's been fun but I'll be glad to cut all the vines down and have my yard back!

In the meantime, I've done some stitching on my Halloween door pillow:

If I can make myself sit still, I'll finish this up later today.  For now, I need to walk and move around so Scott and I are going to head out to our little Flea Market in Wilmot, Wisconsin!

Marie Antoinette

I just added a few more of my Marie Antoinette items to my Etsy shop.  I thought to myself, how in the world did I get into making so many Marie Antoinette themed items?  I think I like the bling and fluffiness of Marie Antoinette.  The girlie stuff so to speak.  I can't say I'll be doing too much more in the way of Queen Marie projects but for now, I thought I'd showcase the things I've made on that theme.

First and foremost is my Marie Antoinette Crazy Quilt:
I also made a Marie Antoinette Crazy Quilt purse:

And then there was my Marie Antoinette Framed Crazy Quilt piece:
Marie Antoinette Brooches:

Marie Antoinette Jewelry Box:

Marie Anointette Art Quilt:
Marie Antoinette Journal:
 Marie Antoinette Gift Tags:
Geez Louise!  How in the world did I get into the whole Marie Antoinette thing?  LOL!!!

Ok, I think I've had enough of that theme.  At least for now.  It's time for a new theme.  Maybe peacocks?  Hmmmmm......there is something already in the works.  Stay tuned!

Also, today is Tuesday so it's Tuesday's Treasures at Shabby Lane Shops!  Be sure to visit all of the great shops that participate in this fun weekly sales event!  And of course, you have to visit my Boutique to see what we have on special for the Tuesday's Treasures!

Old Lace and Vintage Hankies

We had a awesome time at the Flea Market in Elkhorn, Wisconsin yesterday!  It's a huge market and takes hours and hours to walk through. The weather couldn't have been more perfect.  Sunny and about 80 degrees.

I found treasure!  Lots of treasure!  Old lace, vintage hankies, sweet little buttons and more!  This was a bag of appliques, pretty little crocheted pieces and trim.  Perfect for crazy quilting!

Next, I found yards and yards of narrow lace in different colors:
Then, some little bags of lace for $1.00 each:

Next, I found some sweet little buttons and check out that bunch of vintage millinery grapes!  Can't wait to use that on a crazy quilt piece!
I also found some pretty vintage hankies.  The small one are for mom for her door pillows.  The pink one and the one with the roses are for my crazy quilting:

Last but not least, I found a few interesting pieces.  The needlepoint piece is for mom to make something out of.  The baby applique is for mom as well.  I thought she could make a pretty little baby pillow out of it.  Last, I found that lace table runner.  I'll share with mom.  There's a lot we can do with that!
It was a really fun and nice day of treasure hunting!  Click on the pictures to enlarge them and see things up close!

An Oldie But A Goodie!

I have nothing to share today!  LOL!!  I didn't get any stitching time in yesterday.  I did spend some time with mom working on a few holiday things but I had to leave them there for the glue to dry over night.

I thought I'd share one of my little YouTube videos that I did last year.  I think this Halloween one is my favorite.  I love the template that I used!  Enjoy!

Crazy Quilt Halloween Door Pillow

I've stitched the seams on my little crazy quilt Halloween door pillow and now it's ready for beads.  Lots of beads!
I plan to finish up on the computer now and have a little stitching time before I go into town for groceries.

I've been keeping myself quite busy lately!  I'm getting ready to teach 3 upcoming Crazy Quilt classes, I'm working on things for the boutique and getting ready for our trip to Galena Illinois over Labor Day weekend.  I can't tell ya'll how much I'm looking forward to that!  Scott and I haven't been able to go to Galena since last Labor Day!

Speaking of the Boutique, I've added a few more new items.  Pretty little Victorian angel ornaments!

These are also available at Etsy!

Vintage Handkerchief Door Pillows

Mom has come up with such a unique little door pillow using vintage handkerchiefs!

I just love the shape of these!  I let mom raid my vintage hankie stash so I know there are more to come.  These are now in the Boutique as well as Etsy.

Late Summer

Is it me, or is it really starting to feel like late Summer?  We planted pumpkins in the Spring and we've already picked our first pumpkin!  Had to do it before the critters ate it!  LOL!!!  I'll have to take some photos of my pumpkin patch.  Geez, it took over my yard!

I'm feeling the need to stitch on some Fall things so I started on this little Halloween design last night:

This will be a little Halloween Door Pillow and I'll add to the Boutique when I have it ready.

Speaking of the Boutique, it's Tuesday which means Tuesday's Treasures at Shabby Lane Shops!

We have mom's Scarecrow Tussy Mussy's on special for today:

Be sure to see all of the Shabby Lane Shops who participate in Tuesday's Treasures specials!

Crazyquilt Wedding Purse

I did the finishing on my Wedding Purse yesterday.  I had planned on putting it on a purse frame but it's been so long since I did one on a frame....well, I didn't do it right and had to improvise:
My mom has always said that I was resourceful!  I simply ran some chain through the sleeve on each side and then added a snap for closure.  I'm quite pleased with this and will package it up to ship tomorrow.

So now I'm thinking of doing a little something for Halloween!  Stop by to see what's next!

Autumn and Christmas at Kitty and Me Designs

I've added a few new things to our Boutique!  First, is mom's little Pumpkin Patch Door Pillow:

This is a little larger than a traditional Door Pillow.  The ribbons can be tucked behind the pillow and used to set in a chair or on a bed:

Mom's Tussy Mussy's have always been a huge hit!  The newest addition to her Tussy Mussy collection are these Partridge In A Pear Tree Tussy Mussy's:

Finally, my little Victorian Angel Ornaments with Roses:

We can also be found at Etsy!

I didn't get to the finishing on my Wedding Purse yesterday but it's my main goal for today.  I expect to have a finish photo to share with you tomorrow!

Crazy Quilt Wedding Purse

Hola mi Amigas!  I finished up on my Wedding Purse last night:

I wish you could see this in person.  It's so glittery!  Which is exactly what I wanted!  Of course, where else can one add so many sequins and beads and have it look so pretty rather than gaudy?!

I hope to get this sewn together and finished over the weekend.  I'm not sure if I have some white foo-foo stuff to put on the bottom or not.  If I don't, I'll crochet a pretty fringe for the bottom.

Ok, so what am I'm going to stitch on next?  I haven't decided yet.  I'm really all over the map at the moment but you know I can't sit idle so I'll have to just pick something.

Que pasa un buen dia mi Amigas!  Have a nice day my friends!

Wedding Purse Almost Done

I only had a little free time yesterday to work on this:

I did a little more silk ribbon work and added some more beading.  As much as I complain about Winter, I really do have more stitching time in the Winter months.  I don't have to take time to water plants, pull weeds, sweep the sidewalk and deck off, change hummingbird feeders and so on.  Oh, I just love Summer!  But I have way more time to stitch and craft in the Winter months.  Of course, Winter is coming and I'll be back to complaining about it the minute it gets here!  LOL!!!

Cottage Christmas Ornaments

In my post yesterday, I mentioned that I've been busy with mom, working on our 2011 Christmas ornaments.  Here are the first of them:

I have a few more things to take care of online and then I want to stitch on the Wedding purse for a little while before I go and pick up groceries.

Wedding Purse In Progress

I've been beading on this little crazy quilt Wedding Purse and also added some silk ribbon embroidery to it:

I want some color on this but I also want it to be very pale.  I'll do some beading on the birds next which should lighten them up slightly.  I'd like to have this finished up and ready to sew together over the weekend.  This purse will have a frame and it's been awhile since I did one of those.  I think this will be a lovely heirloom for my godchild.  Her wedding is in September.

I've been quite busy with mom.  We've been working on our 2011 Christmas ornament collection.  I'll be adding some to the Boutique now.  You can also find us on Etsy.

Custom Order Cellphone Pouch

I finished up my custom order Crazy Quilt Cellphone Pouch over the weekend:

Red & black is not a color scheme that I normally work in but I admit, this is quite stunning!  I'm always happy to do custom pouches if anyone is looking for something special!

Now to get back to my Wedding purse.  I just have to do the beading and embellishing on it.  I'm eager to see how that turns out!
