Peacock Wall Hanging Update

Just a quick post for today everyone.  I thought you would enjoy seeing an update on my Peacock Wall Hanging:

The tail is attached by not "arranged" yet.  I will show you how I do that when I get to that point.

Tomorrow I will post a tutorial on how to do the Shibori Ribbon like I did on this piece.  I'm about ready to get off the computer for the day so I think the next thing I'll do is to iron down the Broiderie Perse applique rose and get started on stitching that.

White Peacock Purse

First, I want to say thank you to everyone for leaving me such kind comments regarding my latest endeavor.  I'm thrilled to be the new owner and publisher of Pat Winter's beautiful Crazy Quilt Gatherings magazine.  I will write more about that in a 2nd post for today but first, I want to share my White Peacock Crazy Quilt Purse:

As you know, I don't spare the embellishments on my projects!  That's one of the things I love about crazy quilting.  No rules, no limits.

I think I mentioned yesterday that I'm going to stitch up a couple of my Cat Dolls.  I'm doing a craft show in May and I think they'll do well.  I also have a few more brooches to finish up on.  I thought these would be nice for Mother's Day and for my craft show.  Please stop by again to see these projects!

Peacock Purse Ready To Assemble

I finished up the stitching on my Crazy Quilt Peacock Purse and even crocheted so pretty fuzzy trim for the bottom of the bag:

I hope to get this assembled this week a long with a few other things.  The cellphone pouches that I made need to be put together as well.

I want to make a few small crazy quilt Christmas tree ornaments but again, I need to get to my sewing machine for that.

Crazy Quilting Class Lesson 7 Sneak Peek!

I'm kind of excited about Lesson 7 of my online Crazy Quilt Class.  I thought for today, I would share a sneak peek of the project:

Lesson 7 is called, "Proud As A Peacock".  Jason is working on the booklet now and will upload it when it's ready.  I'll let you know as soon as it's available.

In other news, I just sewed some projects together and just have to stuff them so I expect to have some finishes to share tomorrow. 

For now, I'll take a little bit of time for myself and look around online.

Happy Pink Saturday!!! A Very Pink Surprise Gift!

Happy Pink Saturday everyone!  I always so look forward to this weekly event hosted by Beverly at How Sweet The Sound blog!

Earlier this week, I received a lovely goody package from my friend Mary Anne!  I mentioned here on my blog, that I was in search of pink eyelash yarn so that I could make a pink peacock purse, similar to this one:

Well, my friend Mary Anne found some in her neck of the woods.  Little did I know that she would put together a whole package of lovely pink craft supplies for me!!!  The box was even wrapped in pink rose paper!!  It was gorgeous!

Inside the box, Mary Anne included 2 lace butterfly appliques, some pretty beads and some little cat charms:

Mary Anne's notecard was also pink!!!  And here are the lovely skeins of pink eyelash yarn that she sent to me:

Are these gorgeous or what?!!  The multi-colored yarns are incredible!!!  What a lovely surprise.  And as you can see, even the tissue paper is pink. Thank you Mary Anne for such a wonderful gift!
