New Cross Stitch Pattern Releases

Have I ever mentioned that I really don't like January?  It's like the month that never ends!

I've kept myself quite busy designing some new cross stitch patterns. 

First is another set of ornament design in the Crazy Ornaments series:

Crazy Easter Eggs can be worked on Perforated Paper or on 14 count Aida.  Don't you love how I sneak some Crazy Quilting in my Cross Stitch designs!!

I've also added some new cats to my Colorful Cats series:

There will be more.  I come up with the names first and then I do the designs and now I have a list!!

Like I said, I have a list of ideas for more Crazy Ornaments and list of names for more designs in the Colorful series.

Cats And Stockings Cross Stitch Pattern Series

Okay, I know it's a twinge early for Christmas (LOL!!) but my Cats and Quilts cross stitch pattern series and my Cats and Hearts cross stitch pattern series are incredibly popular. 

So I thought, why not do something similar for Christmas stockings!  And who doesn't love those sweet little black cats?

Well here they are:

Poinsettia, Snowflake and Evergreen (I give names to all cats, even cross stitch ones)!!

These designs use DMC floss and some Kreinik metallic threads for sparkle!!

Umbrella Wall Quilt Update

I'm making progress on my latest little wall quilt.  I started on this last week:

If you click on the photo to make it larger, you should be able to see the umbrella design.  I have all of the pink flowers stitched now, thanks to mom who had an extra skein of DMC variegated thread #48!  I thought I had another skein but I was wrong!  Oh well, wouldn't be the first time!!

In other news, I was sitting here this morning, answering my email, all comfy cozy in my nice computer chair when Lucy wanders into my room.  She kept staring at the chair, then she moved around looking at the other chair in here and then the basket that I keep in the corner for her (or the others) to lay in.  She then came back to me and kept looking at my chair.  I know what she wanted.

Needless to say, she's all happy, happy and comfy cozy now and my butt is parked on a hard kitchen chair!  I really want to be a cat in my next life and live with someone like me! 

Green Purse Block

I don't have a whole lot to share today.  Just an update on my green crazy quilt purse block really:

Happy First Day of Spring!

It's official!  Today is the first day of Spring!  I've had a hard time tearing myself away from my deck lately.  It's been so beautiful outside lately.  I picked my first Daffodils of the season yesterday and put them in a little Jadite vase in my garden window.  The grass is green now and my Magnolia tree is blooming.  Since when does that happen in March?  I'll try to get a picture of it today.  We almost lost it a few years ago but my dear husband and his green thumb, managed to bring it back and it's just beautiful!

I started stitching on this little embroidered piece yesterday:

It's a little hard to see the markings.  Two little kittens sitting in a basket of flowers.  This is an old Vogart pattern.  I've been collecting vintage embroidery iron-transfers for years and years! I find them at flea markets and antique shops.  I've gotten a few from Ebay and Etsy too.  I have so many now, it's hard to find ones that I don't have!  Anyway, I expect to finish this up today.  I may run my sewing machine a bit too.  I want to sew some more crazy quilt blocks and I have a few things to finish.

It's a little hard to type now because Lucy has draped herself across my computer again!  CATS!!!

No, I'm not coming out of retirement!  But I've had a lot of requests lately for my Cats & Quilts Counted Cross Stitch series so I've made them available again for a limited time:

These are only available as set which includes all 12 of the Cats & Quilts designs.  One for each month of the year.  They can be found in my Cottage Boutique.

A Few Finishes

I've had quite the busy day today.  Didn't feel good this morning but kept myself busy and it got better.  First, I finished up this piece:

It's not in the frame permanently yet.  I'll do that tomorrow when I go to mom's.  This piece is a gift.

When I had this finished, I sewed up a few more blocks.  A couple of cat dolls, a couple of purses and another framed piece.  I think I'll stitch that next.  I'm wanting to make some more felted brooches as well.  And some cuff bracelets and some embroidered things.

Speaking of embroidery, I pulled out my boxes of vintage iron-on transfer patterns.  I'm going to take them over to mom's tomorrow and we'll play with those.  It's been a while since mom and I went through them.

Am I all over the map?  LOL!!!  Yeah, my ADD is still here!

Anyway, I just added a few new additions to the shop:
