I was thinking, ya'll might like to see the entire block that I used on the cover of the
2018 Crazy Quilt Calendar:

The hanky in the center is a gift from a friend. The bird brooch on the right is also a gift from her. It's vintage too!
Here it is sewn into a pillow:

This is a 9 inch block. I crocheted the trim with some fancy fun yarn and then hand-attached it along the edge of the pillow. I really like the crocheted edgings with the cool fuzzy yarn!

Sorry about the calendar contest. I had originally intended to enter. Then I had trouble with a pinched nerve that made it hard to hold a needle. By the time that was better, too late for me to stitch a block. "Kinky Boots" sounded like a possibility for a CQ block.

The block on the calendar is beautiful. Several of my friends have perused all those pictures and marveled at your work. It's so great to see the whole block and to see what you did with it.
