As I mentioned in yesterday's post, I HAVE been stitching. I just haven't had a lot of stitching time lately due to working on my little room and getting ready for my new computer. Speaking of which, my new monitor arrived and so did my chair cover! The chair cover, although bigger than my office chair, looks great! Thankfully, the chair allows for a lot of tucking, which I did and now my ugly black leather (but comfy) office chair is a pretty pink floral print. Yes, photos will be coming soon!
I did manage to make few new Needle Felted brooches:
I still have my 3 little purses to put together. I'm planning on getting those sewn up next week.
In other news, my new refrigerator arrived today. So, I had to take the time to deal with that. It's a bit smaller than our old one but that's okay. Scott and I don't eat a lot and it's easier to clean under and behind! And inside!
So that's my news for today. Oh, it was snowing all day today too. Just flurries and it is pretty....wait, did I say that? Trust me, I won't be saying that come January!!!

Needle Felted Halloween Brooches
I love needle felting. But I just can't do those beautiful 3 dimensional animals that my sister Kathi does. Instead, I like to play with the various types of roving and see what I come up with. My favorite roving is the curly locks.
These are my latest Needle Felted Brooches, all for Halloween:
I listed some of these in my Etsy shop and I'm not planning on doing anymore for Halloween so order while you can!

Needle Felted Easter Brooches
I mentioned last week that I had made some Needle Felted Easter Brooches. I just love making these! I used some tulle and some Angelina Fiber on these to give them an ethereal feel.
In other news, I sewed up my 2 latest purses. I still have to do the hand finishing and add the trim. Be sure to stop back to see them completed.
And finally, my Peacock purse is coming along nicely. I have the peacock done and just have to add the eye feathers. Then for more embellishing. Update photos coming soon!

Kitty and Me Designs on Pinterest
I was offered the opportunity to convert my Pinterest account from a personal account to a business account. So now, if you follow me there, you'll see my pins posted by Kitty and Me Designs instead of Pamela Kellogg. Kind of cool I guess but I confess, it did make me laugh. It's really not much of a business. More like a hobby for my mom and I. We just like to make things and we just can't keep everything we make. Anyway, just thought I'd share that little tidbit with you.
In other news, I started stitching on my Gypsy Purse but I didn't get very far so I'll share an update on that tomorrow. For now, I finished a special order door hanger:
I don't take on too many special orders but this was a door hanger and I like making those so it's done and ready to ship to my customer.
I also made 2 more Needle Felted Brooches:
I printed up another sheet of vintage images yesterday. Mom and I are planning on doing a couple of craft shows this year and I want to have a bunch of them ready for the shows. I'm going to need some more roving soon. I can order some from Etsy but there are Fiber shows in our area coming up so I hope I can attend those. I'll have to ask my sister if she can go. There's one in Grayslake Illinois in June and another in Jefferson Wisconsin in September. I'll probably order some from Etsy and then buy way too much at the fiber shows because I love craft supplies and that's just the way it is! LOL!!!

Blue Crazy Quilt Purse
I made quite a bit of progress on my blue crazy quilt purse. I have a bit more stitching I want to do on it and then I have a few do-dads I want to add:
I also finished a couple more Needle Felted Brooches:
Everyone tells me that I accomplish a lot! I just like to stay busy. It keeps me out of trouble! LOL!!!
Oh and if you're wondering about the weather forecast for Northern Illinois, it's the same as it's been since Thanksgiving: snow, cold, wind! Please tell me that February is only 28 days this year!

Sewing and Brooches
I spent all morning and part of the afternoon sewing up the example blocks from the online Crazy Quilt class that I taught last year. They will be little door hangers. All I have left to do is stuff them and do the hand finishing. I expect to have photos of those ready tomorrow so please stop back to see them. They're gorgeous!
In the meantime, here are 2 more needle felted brooches that I made:
There are more coming! I have 4 more of them in the works! Special thanks to my sweet friend Pat Winter for her inspiration!

More Needle Felted Valentine Brooches
Since I've only had small amounts of stitching time lately, I've been making some Needle Felted Brooches:
All are embellished with embroidery, silk ribbon work, beads, sequins, lace and some fancy trims. It's nice to make some small things now and again that go fast. Instant gratification can be a good thing sometimes.
I'll get back to Crazy Quilting later this week. I have some more finishing to do this week too and since it's supposed to snow almost everyday this coming week, I believe I will accomplish a lot! Spring starts on March 1st, right?

More Needle Felted Brooches
Another cold one here today. But tomorrow, we're supposed to have a high of 11 degrees. That should feel tropical compared to the last few days! Of course, they are calling for snow. There's a surprise. I don't know where we're all going to put anymore but I guess we'll figure it out.
In the meantime, I have more photos of the Needle Felted Brooches that I made:
I have more but I think for tomorrow, I'll share photos of my Crazy Quilt Valentine Hearts. I finished those this morning.
