October Releases Now Available
I just released 3 new designs for October. My cousin Kim asked me for a realistic chipmunk. He's surrounded with colorful Autumn leaves and munching on a sunflower!
Then I thought about a Colorful Owl for Halloween. Worked in black and orange, his is name is Edgar as in Edgar Allen Poe.
Finally, being a country girl, I did a cherry/kitchen themed Colorful Cat named Cherry Berry.
Ask for these at your favorite needlework retail store or find them in my shop.

Correction for Colorful Bunnies - Jelly Bean
An error was found on the original printings of the Colorful Bunnies - Jelly Bean pattern.
For the equal sign symbol, the proper DMC floss color is 211.
The error is on the original printed leaflets and PDF files. All newly distributed versions are now correct but if you have an original - this is the correction.

Strip Quilted Pouch
I've meaning to post this for awhile now:
This is a little pouch that I made for a friend of my mom's. She's legally blind and has a guide dog. She doesn't like to carry a purse. I've made her several Crazy Quilt cellphone pouches over the years but this time I thought I'd make her a larger pouch so she has room for her keys, phone, rosary and wallet.
I strip quilted the pouch on a muslin foundation, then top stitched lace over the seams. I appliqued the rose embroidery (from a vintage hanky) on top using heat and bond to hold it in place while sewing it down. Then I added the trim around the outside.
A few embellishments gives it some sparkle.
I put it all together and then hand crocheted some trim for the bottom with some fancy yarn.
The chain is removable. I use the little lobster claw clasps which I hand sewn on and then added the chain.
It's a nice quick gift if anyone is looking for some fast Christmas ideas!
In other news, there's a contest over at Fans Of Kitty And Me Designs Facebook group! The prize is one of my cross stitch patterns. Hop over and check it out!

Bonnet Ladies Counted Cross Stitch Pattern
I didn't accomplish as much as I had planned on yesterday. I'm in slow motion these days. I picked up some groceries, made some apple muffins and did just a bit of stitching. Here's an update on my Victorian Purse:
I'll work on this some more today.
Nightmare and Lucy are still adjusting to our loss of Simba. They're both very restless and are very vocal and hanging on me. They've both always been talkers but now are talking even more. Nightmare sits by the front door constantly. I think he thinks that Simba is coming back through the front door. I don't know why. My cats are strictly indoor cats. He must just know that we take things out and bring things in through the front door.
I talked to my vet the other day and he said it takes 2 - 3 weeks for companion animals to adjust to a loss. They're both eating well so in time, they should be okay. I'm sure they're picking up on my grief and restlessness as well.
Finally for today, we've re-released my Bonnet Ladies Counted Cross Stitch Pattern:
This pattern is available from Magcloud.
