Announcing The Calendar Crazy Quilt Artists!

All of the blocks for the 2015 Crazy Quilt Calendar are in!  And they are so beautiful!  As promised, here is a list of the lovely and very gifted artists who were so generous with their time and talent to contribute a design so that others can enjoy a year's worth of Crazy Quilt eye candy!

 Here we go:

January:  Mary Anne Richardson
February:  Nicki Lee Seavey
March:  Maria Muldar
April:  Kathy Shaw
May:  Pat Winter
June:  Cathy Kizerian
July:  Brenda Sandusky
August:  Gerry Krueger
September:  Terri Lee Takacs
October:  Betty Pillsbury
November:  Connie Eyberg
December:  Allison Aller

And the cover design is by me, Pamela Kellogg.

Please click on the links to visit their blogs or Flickr sites!

The calendar will be released on September 1st.  I asked the girls to hold off on posting about their blocks until that time but please, be sure to revisit their sites once the calendar is released.  They will share their stories and more photos of their blocks!

In the meantime, here is my latest finish:

I'll sewing this into a pillow and adding some hand crocheted trim!  Please stop back to see it finished later this week.

Crazy Quilt Artists

I've spent the last couple of hours working on my list of Crazy Quilt Artists under the Crazy Quilting Resources tab at the top of my blog.  If you are a crazy quilter with a blog or photo site, please email me with your name and link and I will gladly add you to the list.

Also, if you know of any crazy quilter sites, again, email the name and link to me!!!

Thanks to Kathy Shaw, I've decided to add a few more categories to the list.  Along with CQ Artists, Supplies, Tutorials and CQ Work for Purchase, there will also be a list of classes/teachers both online and offline, CQ Books, CQ Inspiration and CQ Stitching Groups.

I'll add these as I can.  I plan to create the most comprehensive Crazy Quilt Resource list available online!

In other news, here's a little update on my Halloween Pillow Block:

I hand painted the lace pieces this morning.  I still have to sew them down which I'll do when I turn the computer off.

In the meantime, check out those websites everyone!  Eye candy galore!!!

Primitive and Victorian Halloween Home Decor

Yes, there are times when I go from one extreme to the other.  I love my simple old fashioned embroidery and I adore my crazy quilting!  So I bounce back and forth between the two styles.  Simple embroidery is easier for me to take out and deck to stitch so I do more of it in the Summer months.

For today, I have a Primitive Halloween Pillow and a Victorian Crazy Quilt Halloween Pillow to share:

Next, I'll be stitching up the model for Lesson 7 of my Crazy Quilt Color & Composition Course.  Hmmm...wonder what the theme will be!  Only I know!

Crazy Quilt Halloween Pillow

I finished up this Crazy Quilt Halloween Pillow yesterday morning:

I'll sew this up in another day or two and list it in my Etsy shop.

I also thought you'd enjoy seeing a new picture of my little Wrigley:

He's such a sweet little kitty!  I love it when he sits in the beanies!
