Crazy Quilt Class Project Door Pillow

I had a great time with my crazy quilt students these past few days.  I was feeling a little sad when they left because I enjoyed their company so much!

I finished up the little door pillow that I made while they were here:

I think I'll send this to my aunt as a little surprise!  I have another student coming this weekend to perfect her crazy quilt techniques.  I'm looking forward to it!

Halloween Crazy Quilt Door Pillow

Buenos Diaz Mi Amigas!  I finally finished up on my Halloween Crazy Quilt Door Pillow!

It's so bright and cheery!  And it's really starting to feel less like Summer and more like Fall now.  We've already had to pick some of our pumpkins from our pumpkin patch so the critters don't have them for lunch!  I'll be getting out my little decorative scarecrows this weekend and a few of my other Fall things.

I confess, as much as I usually love Summer, I've had enough of the terrible thunderstorms and the bugs for one season.  The mosquitos are horrendous this year!  We don't dare leave our deck without one of our little OFF Clip On thingy's or we'll get devoured by those little vampires!

So what am I working on now?  I've been terribly restless lately, probably due to withdrawals from the medication I've been on.  I'm having a terrible time sitting still and although I have a commission piece to do, I thought I'd stitch up a few of my little cat dolls first.  I did get my winter crazy quilt project all set up to start on but I won't start on that until late October.  I will share pictures with you soon.  So in the meantime, a new litter of kittens are coming!

Crazy Quilt Heart Shaped Door Pillows

I thought I'd share a few more finishes with you before I turn the computer off for today.  I mentioned last week that I was stitching on some Crazy Quilt hearts.  These are little Crazy Quilt Door Knob Pillows:

I'm almost caught up with my finishing for the time being so I'll be able to get back to stitching soon.  If I don't stay on top of my finishing, I find myself a bit overwhelmed.  Finishing is not my favorite part of the process but the stitching doesn't do me or anyone else any good if I don't sew my things into something useable!

For now, I'll go sit on my deck for a bit.  It was a hot one today but with the sun going down, I should be able to enjoy my yard for a little while and still breathe!

Crazy Quilt Door Pillows

After yesterday's long article on coping the side effects and withdrawals of antidepressants, I'll keep today's post short and sweet!

I did the finishing on my 2 newest crazy quilt door pillows.  I had planned on doing something new and fun with the finishing on these but I forgot!  ADD!  What else can I say!
