It's been awhile since I made some of my signature cat dolls. When my friend Michelle suggested that I make some pink kitties, I thought it was a fun idea. Of course ya'll know, I love pink! So no one had to twist my arm for these! LOL!!!!
I have 1 completely stitched:
And I started on this one earlier today:
I pieced 4 pink cats all together. These will go in my Etsy store.
In other news, be sure to stop back on Thanksgiving Day. I'll be broadcasting something special through out the month of December and plan to explain further in my Thanksgiving Day post. It's something that's very dear to me, from my childhood. I know everyone will enjoy it!

Dolls and Strawberries
I have some finishes to share today! Yeah! Sometimes I feel like I can stitch faster than I can finish things. Maybe it's because I like the stitching part the best!
First, here are my Crazy Quilt Porcelain Dolls:
I think these are so pretty! And unique!
And then I finished up my ..... oh wait! I never told you what they were! Remember these?
Look at them now:
Crazy Quilt Strawberry Ornaments! These are so much fun to make! And I'll have an instruction booklet ready soon!
In the meantime, these things and more are in my Etsy shop!

Crazy Quilt Dolls
I finished up the dress for my 3rd little Crazy Quilt Doll:
Now to assemble these! I'll be doing that this week.
In the meantime, I'm working on Lesson 1 of my Color & Composition Classes starting in January.
Also, for anyone who has and uses my Elegant Crazy Quilt Seam Treatments books, there's a Flickr group for sharing photos of your stitched borders. This is just for photos of blocks that have my borders on them but it is open to the public.

More Crazy Quilt Doll Dresses
I finished stitching up the blue doll dress that I was working on the other day:
Again, it looks a little bulky but it's just pinned to the doll at the moment. The bulk is from the excess fabric. Some of that will be cut away when I assemble these.
I started on this green dress this morning:
All of the seam treatments are from Volume 3 of my Elegant Crazy Quilt Seam Treatments book. I hope to have some time to work on this later. I have some computer work to do for now.
I'll leave you with my latest kitty photo:
Nightmare & Lucy sharing a chair and looking outside. Most of the time, Nightmare is biting her. He's such a bully! And he'll be 17 years old on Saturday!

Rose Garden Cat Doll
I've been asked many times, how I manage to get so much stitching and finishing done. I've told my story before but I'll post it again. I have ADD with high anxiety and I've found that keeping my hands busy helps to manage my nervousness. When the hands are occupied, the mind is occupied!
Yes, my house is always clean, my laundry always caught up, I do make healthy meals and I bake. I have time with my husband and I help my parents out. All in all, I guess I'm just one of those people who gets stuff done.
So with that said, my Rose Garden Cat Doll is my latest finish:
And here are closeups of the seam treatments from this project:
I keep an ongoing photo gallery of my Crazy Quilt Seam Embroidery so if anyone needs some inspiration, it can be found on a page at the top of my blog. The newest photos are always at the top of the page.
Back to my cat dolls, photos of all the Crazy Quilt Cat Dolls that I've made are now available to see on the Collectable Cat Dolls page, also found at the top of my blog. Again, the newest photos will always be at the top of the page. Now that I have all the photos available, I'll go back and date them. I hope to get that taken care of over the weekend.
I've decided, since I've made so many of these little kitties, and because I have several ladies who like to collect a few of them, that it would be fun to start dating and numbering them. Starting in 2012, all of my cat dolls will be dated and numbered on the back.
If you own one or more of my cat dolls, check that page again in a few days to date your doll.
Finally for today, I've started on a new project:
I thought I'd better start making a few Valentine's Day projects. I know, it's not even Christmas yet but since I like to make things for my Boutique, I have to start long before an upcoming holiday! Anyway, this will be another pillow. I sewed a few Valentine pillow projects up the other day so I have a nice little pile of things all ready to stitch on! And I must tell you, I just love Valentine's Day! The soft pastel colors, the little hearts and cupids and the pretty flowers are quite soothing on the eye!
