I've been working on some needle felted brooches for Halloween. I have them all finished now and will have photos over the weekend.
Now that I have those done, I'm ready to get back to crazy quilting. These are 2 little Halloween blocks that I sewed up yesterday:
The little cross stitch pieces in the centers are from my Elegant Cross Stitch Sentiments For Crazy Quilting Book. I stitched the little pieces first on cross stitch fabric and then pieced them into the blocks.
I've been little by little updating all the tabs at the top of my blog. I updated my Kitty and Me on Etsy tab. Not done yet but I'll get there. And I updated the Crazy Quilt Resources tab with more links. If you have any links that you want me to add, just email them to me and I'll get them listed over the weekend. I still have a long way to go on the Crazy Quilt Resources so please check it regularly.
I also moved my Recipes list over to the side bar. If you haven't checked out my recipes, please do so. There's a lot of nice things to try.

Cottage Style Scarecrow Doll
Okay, I mentioned the other day that Mom was working on some Scarecrows. Well, here is her gorgeous little Cottage Style Scarecrow Doll, all dressed in pink!!! Is he too cute or what!!!
Look at that sweet little face! And I love the pink burlap hat!!!! He's a 14 inch, stuffed doll.
Also new by Mom is this gorgeous Pumpkin Heart Shaped Door Hanging Pillow:
Mom loved the crocheted trim that I used on my recent hanging hearts and asked if I minded that she did that too. Of course I don't mind! I'm all about sharing ideas!

Pink Paint
I've been rambling on and off about repainting my room before I buy a new computer to do the magazine on. I decided a long time ago that I would paint this room pink because pink is my signature color and because I find it soothing on my nerves.
Mary Anne made me laugh in a recent email. She said a pink room would send her over the edge. LOL!!! I have seen pink rooms and they can be nauseating but my room won't be that way. I intend to paint everything white and then sponge paint the walls with a pale icy pink glaze. Then I'll stencil roses in here. The glaze will just give the walls a hint of pink color without it being that "in your face pink".
When I was at the hardware store over the weekend, I picked up a couple of paint chips:
I like the warm, peachy shades of pink rather than the blue pinks. I highlighted the color that I'm going to go with.
Little by little, I'm getting things together and organized for my new endeavor!
For now, I finished stitching up my Christmas purse:
I'll have to stop at JoAnn's this weekend and pick up a pair of purse handles. Then I should be able to sew this up next week.

Crazy Quilt Quarterly Magazine
I wanted to announce a small change that will be made to the Crazy Quilt Magazine. I don't want anyone to be disappointed, but Pat and I talked a bit this morning and we both agreed that it would be best to change the name from Crazy Quilt Gatherings magazine to Crazy Quilt Quarterly magazine.
I know some of our readers will feel a bit disappointed and neither Pat nor I want to upset anyone. We just felt that it was a good choice and a good time to make the change. It's a mutual agreement and we hope that everyone understands.
So, I thought for today, I would share the new magazine banner:
I played around with a couple of different things and finally said to myself, "Girl! Be consistant! And make it simple!"
So yes, it's the same banner I use here on my blog and my Etsy shop. And who doesn't like looking at my beautiful Lucy kitty!!!!
In other news, I finished up on my Halloween Crazy Quilt Pillow:
This is available over at my Etsy shop.
Before I turn the computer off, I'm going to add a few more links to my Crazy Quilt Resources tab (found at the top of my blog). Mary Anne sent me a few new links and I found a couple of really nice Etsy stores last night so I want to add those.
