Lucy's Home!

My beautiful Lucy did very well with the surgery.  The Bladder Stone has been removed.  Scott and I brought her home this morning.  She's curled up on a pile of fuzzy blankets in her favorite chair in the living room.  She's still a bit frightened and disoriented though.  She hasn't wanted any food or water yet.  Maybe tomorrow will be better for her.  I'm just so glad that she's home and resting.

I finished 2 of the 3 purses that I had to finish up.  I'll do that 3rd one when I get off the computer.  I also sewed up the white and purple pillow.  I'll do the hand finishing on that this evening as well.

In the meantime, Mom has made a few new Heart Door Hangers:

I think Mom is working on some more of these pretty little hanging hearts.  She asked me to print up another sheet of little vintage images for her so I'll get those ready this week.

I'm going to have to get a nice long sewing day in soon.  I think I'm out of blocks to stitch on!  I want to start on some hearts too.  Don't you just love pretty little lacy things!

Okay, I'm off to finish up those projects.  I expect to have photos tomorrow.

Victorian Crazy Quilt Handbag

My latest purse is finished!  Here is my Victorian Crazy Quilt Handbag:

I love the contrast of the black and the pink!

I also have a few photos of my Mom's new Hanging Hearts:

I'm currently stitching up a few Crazy Quilt Cellphone Pouches.  I'll post photos of those soon.

Beaded Brooch

My current project is this little pink Crazy Quilt cellphone pouch.  My aunt asked me to make one for her for a gift so here's an update:

And here's a closeup of the beading I did around the brooch:

This is a little vintage Petit Point brooch that I bought a few years back at a garage sale.  I think I paid $1.00 for it.  It worked nicely with this piece so I beaded around it.

My chores (except for laundry) are done for the day so I'll get to stitch on it some more now.

Also, mom gave me a couple of new Hanging Heart Door Hangers to add to our Etsy shop:

Mom made this one from a pretty floral print fabric.  And the pink one is made from a vintage embroidered linen and vintage crocheted lace:

Hanging Hearts

I have loads of things to share today!  But first, I'll start with an update on my Crazy Quilt Cat Pillow.  This isn't quite finished yet.  It still needs a few more do-dads:

I expect to finish it up either tonight or tomorrow.

In other news, I have some new pictures of baby Cotton:

I bought him a collar yesterday but Scott isn't thrilled with it.  It's pink!

And it has cupcakes on it!  Scott told me that boy kitties don't wear pink collars.  MEN!  I told him that Cotton couldn't care less what color his collar was.  I liked it because it was pink and had the cupcakes on it and it looks good with his white fur!

Wrigley's collar is the same but is yellow with little bumblebees on it.  I tried to get some new pictures of baby Wrigley but he couldn't sit still.  He's getting big!  I'll get some more as soon as I can.  Lucy wouldn't sit still either.  She's doing better but she still isn't happy.  At least Wrigley plays with Cotton and isn't trying to get Lucy to play anymore.

Finally for today, I have some pretty Cottage style Hanging Hearts that mom made:

Well that's my news for today.  I'm taking my little Cotton ball to the vet tomorrow for a little check up and to get his paperwork in order.  He's so cute and sweet!  And boy, can he run through the house!

More Crazy Valentine Hearts

A quick update on my current stitching projects.  I finished up on this Valentine heart yesterday:

And then I started on this one this morning:

I don't have too much left on my list for today so I'll plan to spend most of the afternoon stitching.

Crazy Quilt Valentines

I finished up my mint green and purple crazy quilt heart last night:

The little purple iris is from a vintage hankie.

This morning, I started on this pink heart:

I'm sure I'll have this one finished later today.  I have 3 more to stitch after this.

I Know It's A Wee Bit Early

But when you make things to sell, you have to work a holiday in advance!

I mentioned yesterday that I'm going to take a break from finishing my book until after the holidays.  So I started on my Valentines.  This one is ready for sewing:

And this is my next one:

I think I sewed up 6 of these little hanging hearts so I'll be stitching on these for awhile.
