New Releases Quaker Samplers

These blackwork mandalas for counted cross stitch are worked in a traditional quaker style with floral motifs. Stitched entirely in black, this pattern is reminiscent of the American schoolgirl samplers of the late 1700/early 1800's. The geometric pattern is easy to stitch, worked entirely in full cross stitches.  The Quaker Mandalas can be worked with any color thread on any color fabric.

Stitch count: 141 stitches square

Fabric: 28 ct light mocha Lugana over 2 or 14 ct Aida.

Threads: DMC 310 (you will need at least 4 skeins)

Hi Sandra, I'm getting ready to stitch the Cat Quaker design. Had to order fabric which came yesterday. I'm finishing up a little Halloween piece and then I can start on the cat.

Very pretty Pam!!! I've been drooling over some sampler patterns but then I remember my eyesight isn't as good as it used to be and seeing the little stitches is a lesson in frustration. I only have one spot I could hang one and it has to be in the horizontal narrow orientation and there's very few designs that are done that way.

I love that you added that it is made of entirely in full cross stitches! That is a happy bonus; and makes it even more enticing.

Oh, thank you for mentioning that Sandra. Fractional stitches can be a pain, I know. But they are necessary sometimes.
