Thought I'd share my current stitching projects:
First, I started on this beautiful Cornucopia by Kooler Designs Studio awhile back:
I had to hoped to complete it by Thanksgiving but I'm not sure that will happen. I'm still in slow motion on some things. Still winding down from everything and I get tired sooner than normal. I just had to run on adrenaline for so long, taking care of mom and dad and the house, it's going to take awhile to settle down guess.I started on this little Crazy Quilt block yesterday:
The little cross stitch owl is a freebie from Shannon Christine Designs. She has some really pretty patterns.
I'd like to get back to some of the vintage iron-embroidery patterns too. I have a huge collection of those charming little patterns, including mom's now. I want to get back to using them.
But, one thing at a time!
I'm thinking come Spring, I might adopt another little Russian Blue cat. I miss my Bleubird so much, I still can't believe I lost him at only 11 years sold. The Russian Blue cats have amazing personalities and characteristics.
If I do adopt another little one, I will name him Sherman after the Sherman family line on my mom's side. I spent so much time on that line of the family and I'm still working on it! They moved around back in the 1800's more than we do now! Anyway, I thought Sherman would be a cool name.

That little owl is so cute.
Cute owl!
After we lost our last indoor cat, we decided not to get another. I sort of miss one in the house, but not having to deal with litter box, lugging new litter home and dirty litter to the garbage transfer station, the expense of that, constant sweeping up cat hairs, or deal with hair balls on the carpet (why do they always run from the hard floors to carpet to do that?!?) has it's advantages. We still have 2 outdoor cats I can get kitty cuddles from. Sherman...makes me think of the character from Rocky & Bullwinkle cartoons.
I know exactly what you mean about running on adrenaline. When all is finally handled, it's an odd feeling trying to get back to making your own schedule.
Oh, I hope you are able to get another little one when you're ready, but as you know, sometimes the Cat Distribution System doesn't wait.😉
Those are both cute little stitcheries.
