I've been doing some stitching on my little 6 inch crazy quilt blocks and completed 2 more of them:
When I was packing up mom's clothes, I found this sweatshirt that I made for her years ago. The little Chippy is cross stitched on the shirt using waste canvas. I did a lot of sweatshirts back in the 90's! Anyway, I decided to just cut out the little stitched piece and use it on a block.
The large maple leaf is a pin from Avon. Remember, my mom sold Avon for years and years! Anyway, I have a green pin just like it that I used on another block.
Again, the little Wood duck was stitched on a sweatshirt for my dad back in the 90's. He loved it and wore it right up to the last time he went into the hospital. So again, I cut out the little stitched piece and worked it into this block.I must have had blizzard conditions on my mind the other day when I stitched this. We're getting dumped on today! Anyway, the silver trim is vintage, probably from the 40's. I found it at a flea market. The birch trees on the right are just some fuzzy yarn that I couched on with some grey perle cotton. It's very glittery. It actually looks like I just dropped a ton of sequins on it! Ya'll know I love my sequins!
