I had a bunch of little cross stitch pieces that I did over the years. They were the perfect size for 6 inch crazy quilt blocks:
So I spent Saturday sewing them up. I started stitching on one over the weekend. Had to do the pumpkin first since it's October:
I don't remember who the designer is because I stitched this a few years ago. I like to give credit where credit is due but I just don't remember. It might be a Lizzie Kate design.
This is the block before I started stitching on it:
I don't stress out over doing curved pieces. I just top stitch them and then sew trim over them. This afternoon, I'll started adding my beloved beads and sequins to this block. If anyone is interested, all back issues of Crazy Quilt Quarterly Magazine are still available in my Etsy shop.
On Sunday, I ran over to the local farm market to get some pumpkins. They have a little petting zoo every year in the Fall. I fell in love with this little guy:
I could have spent all afternoon just playing with him. He was so sweet and really seemed to enjoy the fact that I'm a sucker for animals!
