Well, I finally finished up these Crazy Quilt Clutch Purses:
I don't care for these frames. I bought them at JoAnn's and although they look really nice, they're hard to sew the bag onto. These frames have groove that you have to push the fabric into, slide the needle underneath and try to come out in the hole on the front. As you can see, I used beads. It took me 2 hours to put the purple purse on the frame and 3 hours for the blue purse. I think I'll be keeping these.
I think, instead of buying these frames from JoAnns, I'll order some from an Etsy store. They're much easier to sew on.
Missing in action today!

I can understand wanting to keep them after so much work. Too bad these frames are so hard to use, but they turned out beautifully!
Beautiful purses! Interesting to read about the differences in purse frames. I've never tried using one and now I know what to look for (or not to!).
Very beautiful!
These are really pretty. How do the other frames work, the ones you've seen on Etsy? Don't they all have holes for stitching? Obviously, I'm clueless here! ;-)
Beautiful! Pam, I also have had a heck of a time finding purse frames I like! I can't find a thing that is affordable made in the USA. Let me know if you find a good source, I have been searching for years!
Wow, I love it.
Greetings Maria Mulder
Despite your sewing problems, the purses turned out great, Pam. You are so talented!
