More ATC's

I received this beautiful crazy quilted ATC from Ayala in exchange for one of my CQ ATC's:



Don't you just love the bright, cheerful colors? I do! Thank you Ayala!

Lately, I've been taking it easy, making a few cards and doing a lot of reading. I did make a set of 3 ATC's today. I call these the "Funky Cats":







The cats were on a greeting card that I received a few years ago. I kept it because I thought it was pretty and then finally decided to cut the cats out and use them on something so here they are!

Anyway, these are mixed media ATC's. Paper, lace, braid, paper flowers, star stickers and yes, glitter!

If anyone is interested, I would like to trade one. Please let me know. I plan to keep 2 for gifts.

Crazy Quilt Artists Trading Cards

First thing this morning, I pulled out some fabrics and treadled up 6 tiny blocks for Artists Trading Cards. I have one stitched up already and another started:





I'll wait until I have all 6 of them stitched before putting them on the cards.

I was asked how I put the peacock feather on my June Take It Further Challenge block. I chose a feather that fanned out nicely and using a brush, I applied some fabric glue to the back. I focused mainly the eye part and only added a bit to the top of the strands. I laid it down on the fabric and using a toothpick, I carefully moved the strands of the feather to where I wanted them. I had to be careful with the fabric glue because it will show on the fabric if any wanders off on it's own.
