Stitching Hearts With Vintage Mother Of Pearl Buttons

I've been stitching up some Crazy Quilt Heart Ornaments and decided, since my old mason jar of vintage Mother Of Pearl buttons is filled just about to the top, that I would use some:

Although I already had quite a few of these old buttons, I happened to find a ton more this past Summer in my flea market travels!  So here is what I'm using them on:

I have one more heart to stitch up and then perhaps tomorrow, I'll get them put together.

In other news, I have something really fun and special coming this holiday season.  Something you'll want to to tune in for every day!  For now, it's a secret!  More information coming soon!

  3. Oh yes! Don't those buttons make a difference! I've got a few in my button collection, but apart from one or two buttons on CQ blocks, I keep forgetting to use them. duh.
But I have some cute patterns from magazines that are button specific embellished, and I want to do at least one of them soon, because every time I look through my patterns file, they scream at me "Our turn now!!"

  4. Lovely! I love working with buttons too!
I've not been able to comment on your blog for ages (and some others), don't know what the problem is/was but, not been able to upload photos either.....really annoying!
Especially as I have a new furry baby and wanted to show her off to all!

    Take care,
    hugs,
