Sweet Summer Cross Stitch Patterns

I can't believe it's Memorial Day weekend already!  Where did Spring go?  Here in northern Illinois, I don't think we had it yet!  LOL!!

It's been a busy week for me as I have just complete 3 new designs.  That's how inspiration hits me.  I get a couple of ideas all at once and can't decide which one to do first!!

My new projects are Summery and whimsical.  I'm not big on the noise of fireworks but the little POP! POP! POP! of firecrackers inspired a fun patriotic design with gold metallic (Kreinik) stars cascading down from red, white and blue firecrackers.

Something To Crow About was inspired by my cousin Kim.  She loves crows but isn't really fond of primitive designs so she asked me to design something with a realistic crow.  The addition of a watermelon slice, a bright yellow sunflower and some cool vines with red berries gives this design an updated country charm.

Finally, strawberry season is just around the corner. Bluebird On A Strawberry!   A giant strawberry gives a little bluebird a place to rest his feathers!  Realistic yet whimsical at the same time.

I'm sure one of these is the perfect project for your Summer stitching rotation!

Ask for my pattern leaflets at your favorite Needlework Retailer stores or

find them in my Etsy shop!

I hope you have a safe Memorial Day weekend!!

This is Lesa from cqfornewbies. I’m so happy to see you designing full speed ahead again. The crow and watermelon are on their way to my home. You hit all three of my favorite things...crow, sunflower and watermelon. I can’t wait to see what you do next. Fall patterns? My absolute,Ute favorite theme.
