Scott's Go Fund Me For Cancer Treatment Bills

Good Morning everyone! Scott is doing well. Only 2 1/2 weeks of treatments left. We're both counting down the days until this is over and the real healing can begin.

Unfortunately, I now have over $5,000.00 in medical bills sitting on my desk. I've done very well staying on top of everything until now.

It pains me to keep asking for help but the relief in being able to get this all paid for so we can put this horrible experience behind us, would be incredible. The last 6 months have just been awful for both of us.

We don't need to reach the goal that I set. We just need to raise another $5,000.00 to put this nightmare behind us. Cancer is hell!

If you can help with a donation or even just help by sharing this post as much as you can, I would so much appreciate it.

And thank you all so much for the donations and prayers that you've give us. We are both so grateful. I'll post another update next week.

Never Ending Sampler Stitch-Along Panel 2 Band 2

Today, I have Band 2 of Panel 2 for the Never Ending Sampler Stitch-Along.  If you're new to this sampler, please click the link above to learn more about it.

Here is the Panel 2 so far:

And here is Band 2:

This band consists of multiple stitches including the Feather Stitch, Cross Stitches, Straight Stitches and French Knots.

If you need help with the Feather stitch, please visit Sharon B's Stitch Dictionary.

When working the Feather Stitch on this band, you will want to start from the outside and work your way towards the center of the design.  You'll have to do this on both sides of the band.

If you've never worked the the Feather stitch, it may look intimidating but it really is an easy stitch once you get the idea of it.  It's one of those stitches where you have to "catch" your thread as you go along.

Feel free to add your own special touch to this border.  Use beads instead of french knots if you want to.  Use multiple colors or work in just one color.  This is YOUR sampler so give it a try and enjoy!!!

Never Ending Sampler Panel 2 Band 1

I hope everyone is caught up on Panel 1 of the Never Ending Sampler Stitch Along.  And I hope ya'll are enjoying this project!  If you're new to this stitch along, click the link above to get started with Panel 1.

As I mentioned last week, I needed a little break due to the stress of my husband's cancer treatment and other things that seem to constantly make their way to my plate.

So now that I feel a little more caught up on things, I've started on Panel 2.  Here is Band #1:

I'm very eager to see how everyone interprets this band.  I worked it all in black so that you can decide for yourself what you want to do with it.  My only suggestion is to think in terms of an antique sampler.  There are flowers, birds, leaves and a little vase or urn.  This band is worked entirely in cross stitch so just think "antique sampler" and I'm sure ya'll will come up with some beautiful color combinations!

Be sure to post your stitching photos over on our Never Ending Sampler Facebook Group!

A Quick Newsbrief

Good morning everyone!  I just wanted to update ya'll on a few things.

First, Scott's cancer treatment is winding down.  We have 1 month left of the treatments.  If I figured right, 3 more of the mild chemo and 4 more weeks of the radiation.

He's doing well and although his mouth is sore from the chemo, so far he hasn't had to use the feeding tube.  He's really looking forward to getting that thing taken out!  Don't blame him.

Once the treatments are the done, we just have to pay off the medical bills, get back on our feet and then the real healing can begin.

Thank you to everyone for your kindness, your prayers, your cards and your generosity!

In other news, if all goes well, we'll start on Panel 2 of the Never Ending Sampler Stitch-Along next week.  I've been very tired and stressed and I needed a break.

The Summer issue of Crazy Quilt Quarterly magazine is all done and ready to released on May 1st.
I've decided for the Autumn issue, rather than have a theme, to let that issue be whatever it's going to be.  I have some fun tutorials that I haven't been able to fit into any other issue so I'll include those.  If anyone would like to contribute projects, tutorials or eye candy photos, please email me

Did you know that I have a Facebook page for Crazy Quilt Quarterly magazine?  I also have one for my cross stitch designs.  Here are the links:

Please hop over and like both pages!!!

Speaking of cross stitch, I have been asked by Kreinik Manufacturing if I would do some new cross stitch designs for them which I have agreed to.  I always enjoyed working with them and with their gorgeous metallic threads.  I will be working on their designs next week.  Please hop over to their website.  Kreinik threads are perfect for any type of embroidery.  I love to cross stitch with it and it really adds some sparkle to crazy quilting!  Click on freebies if you're looking for a new project.  They offer quite a few of them and several are ones I did for them a few years back.

Finally for today, here's a free a little St. Patricks Day cross stitch pattern that you can use either as an ornament or on your crazy quilt projects:

Just right click on the image and save to your hard drive.  The open and print in any graphic software.

Happy Stitching!
