Mad As A Bluebird

4 - 8 inches of snow is in the forecast for McHenry, Illinois today!  Okay, so I'm not as mad as a bluebird but I don't like it!  I was really okay with a Winter without snow!  Arrgggg......well, I guess it'll be a stitching day.

I think I'll make a pot of Ham and Potato Soup and a loaf of bread.  My dear husband has to drive an hour and 1/2 home from work in that!  In snow, it'll take 3 hours!  Thank goodness we have a truck!  And I'm sure he'll welcome a nice hot bowl of soup tonight.

I finished up my St. Patrick's Door Pillow yesterday morning.  It's a subtle message of Spring:

I have a few heart shaped, St. Patrick's Day door pillow blocks that I sewed up earlier this week.  I'll be starting on one of those today while my soup is cooking.

Lovely crazy quilt panel. The bird does look mad. At least we were both able to stay home in our snow-like we could get out of our road--right!

A big pot of soup cooking, while sitting stitching sounds like heaven!

Oh Pam! Ham and potato sounds so comforting in this weather! It's so cold here in Michigan, and your snow is on the way. I'll be kind though, and not send it back! LOVE your stitching!!!!!!!!!

A very beautiful piece of work.
Your husband has a long, long way to drive to work.We are used to big distances in Australia too, but that is a long drive- and in snow.

Happy baking.Very cosy.

The poor little bluebird does look totally annoyed doesn't he. I think this image would make beautiful cards...perhaps for your shop?? Just a thought!
