More ATC's

I received this beautiful crazy quilted ATC from Ayala in exchange for one of my CQ ATC's:

ATC Received From Ayala

Don't you just love the bright, cheerful colors? I do! Thank you Ayala!

Lately, I've been taking it easy, making a few cards and doing a lot of reading. I did make a set of 3 ATC's today. I call these the "Funky Cats":

ATC Funky Cat 1

ATC Funky Cat 2

ATC Funky Cat 3

The cats were on a greeting card that I received a few years ago. I kept it because I thought it was pretty and then finally decided to cut the cats out and use them on something so here they are!

Anyway, these are mixed media ATC's. Paper, lace, braid, paper flowers, star stickers and yes, glitter!

If anyone is interested, I would like to trade one. Please let me know. I plan to keep 2 for gifts.

Stitching Break

First, I wanted to share with you, a photo of the needlefelted ATC that Ati of Norway sent to me:

I traded one of my CQ ATC's with Ati. I must tell you, this is so beautiful and being my first ATC trade, I treasure it! Thank you Ati!

I've decided to take a little bit of a break from stitching. I'm having a challenging time focusing on it at the moment so perhaps putting it away for a little while and reading a book instead would be helpful.

I do plan to make a few more mixed media ATC's so I will share those here as I do them. My blog posts will not be quite as regular as they used to be since I just don't have much to share at the moment but I will post when I have something interesting to share or talk about.

I would like to tell you that Scott & I found a piece of property that we are absolutely in love with and totally sure that it's our piece of peace & quiet. Any prayers to the Universal Mind for assistance with the how's would be so greatly appreciated!

Artist Trading Cards - Fashion Girls

I made some cards this afternoon and then made a few ATC's:

Fashion Girls ATC 3

Fashion Girls ATC 1

Fashion Girls ATC 2

These are Mixed Media cards - paper, fabric, glitter, lace, vintage Mother Of Pearl buttons and a butterfly sequin.

If anyone is interested, I'm willing to trade 1. I would like to keep the other two for gifts.

Happy 4th Of July!

To all of my readers here in the U.S., I wish you a very happy and safe 4th Of July!

Take it easy on the Cherry Pie!!!!

July Take It Further Challenge DMC Palette

Sharon B. has released the concept and color scheme for the July Take It Further Challenge. I will talk about my theme for the concept next week.

In the meantime, for those of you who like to work with the DMC colors, I've matched the color Palette up for you:

July TIF Pallette

Please keep in mind that I matched the colors based on both my monitor and a print out. All monitor and printer settings are different. Also, the matches are the closest I could get to the DMC thread colors.

Finishes

I finished up on my 3 CQ ATC's:

ATC CQ 1

ATC CQ 2

ATC CQ 3

I've agreed to trade 2 of these and I would like to keep one for a gift.

I also started another button block:

Button Block 25

If you would like to see the other blocks for my button quilt, you can find them here at my Flickr site.

Finally for today, I worked up another tag:

Tag 12

Linda B. asked me what software I use to make my fractal designs. I use Coral Photopaint 12 with the special filter add-on. It has all sorts of cool filters which I combine with the Fractal images.
