More Crazy Quilting

I started on this "Lucky Lady" Cellphone Pouch yesterday afternoon and finished it this morning:

Lucky Lady Cellphone Pouch

Green and purple always seem to work so well together! And I've always loved this little Victorian Irish lady image.

My next project will be this:

Red Hat Society Lady Purse

I'm not at all into the Red Hat thing but I do love the way red and purple work together and I love images of ladies in hats so I thought this would be a fun project.

If you're new to my blog, here's a photo of another "Red Hat Society" project that I did:

The Red Hat

This is a 15 inch wallquilt. The hat is hand-appliqued and stuffed with a bit of fiberfill to give it some dimension. It's available in my Etsy shop. I've lowered the prices on all of my quilts in hopes of moving them to new homes.

Oooooooh, she's pretty! I like those colors, too!

I have the most exciting news! Going through a box of old stuff last night, I came across a manila envelope I didn't immediately recognize. I opened it, and BLING! Many years ago, I bought an abused jewelry box full of mostly junk stuff (bought it because there was an absolutely pristine pair of art-deco rhinestone drop earrings, worth MANY times the cost of the box, but who cared, they were so pretty!) Anyway, I saved a bunch of the "junk", and put it in that manila envelope I just found, on the theory that someday I'd find a use for it. (Yes, I have a SEVERE case of packratitis.) So I'm now the proud possessor of some really SPIFFY embellishment goodies! Mostly rhinestone - so lots of glitter. Blue trapezoid drops; an under 1" three-row arc of 3 shades of green; reds; topaz; several sprays and drops of colorless. There are also several different pieces of beadwork that will look really spectacular as part of a "crazy" project. Am I congratulating myself on my perspicience? You better believe it!

The green is very striking. I love it! Where do you get all of your photo/siggie art from? Is it a CD, or off of the web. I find a lot of it available but NOTHING that compares to the quality that you use.

The Irish lady is lovely (as all Irish ladies are), and I love the stitching. Is the heart a button? Purple and green are a favorite quilting combination of mine.

The new red hat lady will be great, too. I'm absolutely *not* going over to the etsy site. No, no, no! =) Not today, anyway.
