I had a little time to work on this some more. As you can see, my mom crocheted the little shamrock for me so I handpainted it, sewed it on and added some flowers and leaves. Then I beaded around the outside.
Help me out here, does this look done? Or do you, my readers feel it needs something else?
With the craziness in my life at the moment, and because I had to put it down for a bit, I feel a little out of touch with it. Let me know what you all think.

This block is beautiful - and it is hard to tell from looking at it on a computer screen - but when I did, the dark fabric (which shows as black, but I suspect is dark green velvet) was just a little too strong and begging for something on it.
But in real life, it may be quite different. Maybe like small lazy daisy stitches going out from the shamrock (which is beautiful) to make a sort of halo around it, and break the darkness down a bit???? Dunno.
But in real life it is possibly completely different, and perfect. I love green, and I love this.
Pam, I am sure I left a comment on this post the other night, but it seems to have disappeared. And yet you must have read it because I asked about the door knocker instructions and you have now obliged! I also said that I love this block, and thought it was great as is, without adding anything more. IMHO...
